Buochs Airport (IATA: BXO, ICAO: LSZC) is located in the Canton of Nidwalden, near the town of Buochs. The airport is well known for the aircraft manufacturer pilatus aircraft, which uses the airport for its home base. Since 2004, Buochs is a military “sleeping base” of the Swiss Air Force. In case of an extraordinary situation, the entire military infrastructure can be made operational if needed.
